About Continuing Medical Education on Stick (CMES)

In October 2023, Dr. Manoj Thomas, TWB Co-founder & President, and Dr. Jessica Pelletier, TWB African CME Coordinator and Washington University EM Education Fellow, in collaboration with Samaritan Health Systems, visited Uganda and installed a CMES-Pi at the Ministry of Health, Jinja Regional Referral Hospital, Kampala, Uganda and as well as the Emergency Medicine Department of Makerere University School of Medicine. The Pi provides free monthly Emergency, Primary Care, and EMS medical education updates using TWB's smartphone app. The Pi works in low-resource settings even when electricity and the Internet are scarce or unavailable.

The team also gave USB solutions to Samaritan Home Health Nurses and Hope Children's Clinic ( a pediatric hospital in the village of Busesa)
